My 3rd Grade Science Course Electricity and Electric Vehicles Activity. Electricity is a type of energy that we use in many areas in our daily lives. We cannot see electricity, but we feel its effects. When we turn on the television, we hear the image, and when we turn on the radio, we hear the sound. When we turn on the air conditioner it cools. When we plug in the iron, it heats up. Vehicles powered by electrical energy are used in many areas such as lighting, heating, communication, cleaning, transportation, sound production and movement. Electricity, a type of energy, can be transformed into other types of energy. We should pay attention to the following when using electrical appliances. We should not touch electrical devices with our wet hands. We must be careful when inserting and removing plugs from sockets. We must make sure that the sockets are solid. We should not insert metal tools into sockets. We must be careful that the cables are not worn or opened. We must ensure that the plugs are fully inserted into the socket and not loose. We should definitely read the user manuals before using electrical appliances. When repairing electric vehicles, we must be careful that the electricity is cut off. In case of electrical malfunctions, we should get help from competent people and not try to tamper with them ourselves.
