Poems that reflect the common feelings, joys and pains of the people are called mani.
Features of Manias
It is not known who said it.
It usually consists of a single quatrain.
It is the smallest form of verse in Anonymous Folk Literature.
Manis are usually sung with a unique melody.
Those who sing mani are popularly called "mani person, mani burner, mani maker". Names like these are given.
Although the subject of the poems is diverse, the subject of love is generally discussed in these poems.
There is no subject limitation. It deals with the subjects of love, nature, praise, satire, love for children, separation, longing and love.
Most of the time, what is really wanted to be said in the poems is expressed in the last two lines. The first two lines are preparation lines used to make it rhyme, they have nothing to do with the main subject.
