2nd Grade Turkish Lesson Singular and Plural Nouns Activity Singular noun: These are nouns that indicate a single entity. Plural noun: These are nouns that indicate more than one entity. If we add the suffix –s and -lar to singular nouns, they become plural. Let's not forget: Family, cluster, herd, bunch, dozen, army, regiment, group… Words such as do not take the plural suffix. Even though they are singular, they mean community. Words that express plural even though they are singular are called collective nouns.
