Student's interests, abilities, personality traits, academic success, development, attitudes, behavioral problems, etc. in the educational environment. It is used to follow and recognize its features more closely. Forms are evaluated collectively at certain time intervals. Frequently observed characteristics and behaviors can be identified and used in planning guidance studies. It can also be used during student, parent and teacher interviews when it is thought that not enough information can be obtained on the issues needed about the student or when a second perspective is needed. Although it is generally used for students at pre-school and primary school levels, it can also be used for students at other levels.
WHO USES? It is filled in by the observing administrators and teachers and archived by the school guidance service. In cases where there is no guidance counselor at the school, the records are filed by the responsible assistant principal.
THINGS TO BE CONSIDERED:
1. Which behavior will be observed is clearly determined by the teacher/guidance teacher.
2. The form is filled out in an environment where the student is not present so that the observed student does not realize that he or she is being observed.
3. In order for the observation to be impartial, personal opinions and comments should not be included.
4. The information obtained as a result of observation is not sufficient to evaluate the student as a whole. Observation results; Studies are planned by considering the Student Information Form, Student Interview Form, Family Information Form, other individual recognition techniques used, together with teacher and peer observation.
